Solid, quality.
I took it for a test run to see what she can handle, cut mainly live branches up to 1 1/2” thick. After filling a 90 gal trash bin it performed well, cuts what it’s intended for. Solid construction and quality. In addition the edge held up surprisingly well.

No gears means you have to have upper body strength
I'm a middle-aged woman who loves to garden and I use loppers quite often. My go-to loppers are an old pair of Fiskars with gears to increase leverage. However, there are certain branches that those just won't handle. For the super-heavy-duty cuts, it's either take out a saw or use loppers like these. But here's my word of caution: I have a strong husband who actually makes the really big cuts for me. If you're a woman who has not won any UFC matches, these are for relatively light use only. They're sturdy, and sharp, and they have everything a pair of loppers should have. Except gears, or a large male helper.

Nice balance; stout build quality; pleasure to use
I'm a fan of Corona gardening tools overall. I've been using them for many year, and have yet to be significantly let down by any of them. They generally hit the right balance between having much better build quality/performance than the entry-level tools, but are still priced so that it's not a terrible strain on the wallet as true commercial-grade tools can be. This lopper hits that mark square on. It has very stout, durable build quality that will provide a very long service life for homeowner use. The tool is a pleasure to use -- it has a nice balance to it and, provided you have the upper body strength, the claimed 2 inch cutting is accurate (actually a bit conservative). The metal handles have minimal deflection when cutting at the max diameter and zero deflection when cutting smaller diameter limbs. The handles provide good grip and, while not cushioned, limit hand fatigue even when using this for a big pruning job. The rubber bumper is well-made and does an excellent job of minimizing "bounce back" arm strain when you are dealing with a stubborn cut that suddenly breaks through. One minor issue was that the blade was not as sharp as I wanted when I first used it. A quick sharpening (it didn't take much) and it cuts as smooth as silk. The blade is not difficult to sharpen. While this is priced more than the bargain loppers, the build quality and performance make it a much better value. I can't say it makes pruning fun, but it's designed so that you don't have to fight with the tool to get it to perform well. Highly recommended!

Good cut, very heavy
This is a heavy duty lopper with a solid blade that cuts very easily. The handles aren't stiff but rather move quite fluidly. Yet this might be quite a heavy tool for some people. Especially if using it to cut limbs over head. Fortunately though a lot of the weight is in the arms so it is evenly distributed where the blade end isn't pulled down by its own weight. For me though who doesn't have a lot of upper body strength this isn't something I can use for very long, but it does the jobs that I need done when I'm pruning small trees and shrubs in my yard.

Quality Limb Lopper
Spring has arrived early & it's time to get to work!... those trees & bushes need trimming up & this is what you need right here to make the work go quick n easy... The Corona Max Classic cut Bypass Lopper - is a quality tool that is well designed & made to last.... Pro's - the 31 in length give you excellent reach the leverage necessary to slice through thick limbs with relative ease. Lightweight - the all steel hollow handle limbs are high strength/low weight, & The extra long hard rubber handles assure a good & comfortable grip. And the rubber shock absorber allows for quick rebound/recovery when cutting while reducing shock to your wrists & elbows. The cutting blades of this lopper are forged using a process that involves molecular compression... which creates a hardened steel that will stay strong & sharp for thousands of cuts. Cons? - not a one So, IMO this Corona Lopper is a great choice for getting started on yard work this Spring... it's made to work & made to last. 5 Stars - Highly recommended

Decent - non-professional loppers
This is a decent branch cutter for light yard work. The blade was fairly sharp and cut fairly straight. The long handles give a bit more leverage than most tools like this that I've used. They are lightweight and the metal handles seem pretty strong. The rubber grips man you won't slip while cutting. They advertise that they will cut up to 2" branches, but I had trouble at around 1" 1 1/2". They were "live" branches - maybe 2" is possible on a dead branch. Other than the slightly optimistic branch diameter, these are pretty nice cutters.

Sharp, cuts well
I used these to cut some smaller branches from a few trees. They cut the smaller branches easily, as they are sharp. These are heavy, so if you have a teen or a senior that has a hard time lifting things, these might not be the best ones to get. I am a small female, and I found them taxing when I used them for branches that were higher up. They have long handles, so it is easy to reach higher branches. They will not easily cut anything that is more that an inch or so thick. I noticed that the limit seemed to be about 1.5 inches. They will do it, but your are going to have to work for it. They come with a little protective, plastic cover that snaps into place. It covers the cutting portion, which I like. Overall, I am impressed with them.
